International Publication Committee meetings

The International Publications Meetings were held at Brockwood Park on the 10th and 11th of October. Various trustees, directors, rights-managers and editors from the four Krishnamurti Foundations discussed topics related to printed and digital publications. The ongoing project of the new international website took a prominent place among the meetings.

The group looked into current and new publishing policies, and evaluated future projects. The American and English Foundations reported an improvement in their cooperation and discussed the importance of establishing a single repository of publications’ records. In order to further enhance their synergy, the two Foundations decided to undertake an analysis of their working procedures.

The increasingly significant topic of social media was also covered. It was mentioned how the YouTube channel maintained by the Krishnamurti Foundations now offers over 300 full-length videos and 120 Question and Answer extracts. It has over 20,000 subscribers, 9,000 of which were gained during the last year. The Facebook page maintained by the Foundations has 150,000 subscribers, and its posts are seen by 20,000 to 50,000 people.

Shortly after the meetings were finished, Pedro Lopez Merino from KFT, Jaap Sluijter and Cory Fisher from KFA, and Vishwanath Alluri from KFT and KFI left for the Frankfurt Book Fair.
